Utilizing his wisdom and several years of experience, Kenny Rushing has delivered a coaching program for those who wish to make big like him. Bulk REO Trader is the latest addition to the real estate coaching programs offered by Kenny. The course targets at teaching the upcoming investors about bank real estate owned properties and tips to make best out of them.
The course doesn't teach how to invest in a single REO property at one time but it enhances the knowledge about bulk REO dealing. Kenny Rushing shares his successful experiences of being a super REO property wholesaler in the local market and that too without investing your own money or credit in the process. This might appear as a risky and unattainable target but the course teaches how to make it possible.
REO or real estate owned properties are those that remain unsold in foreclosure auctions and are the bank's priorities to be sold at any suitable price. The Bulk REO Trader course is a step-by-step guide for those who wish to act as brokers for bulk REO deals. According to Kenny Rushing, brokering bulk real estate owned properties is much more profitable than investing your own money in buying an REO from a bank. How this can be achieved forms the basis of this course.

QUESTION:
Who is this Michael Jackson fella I keep hearin about?
Chip Hansen from Des Moines. How ya doin? I keep hearin stuff on the news radio about some guy named Michael Jackson. Why is he famous?
ANSWER:
An entertainer (some might call him a musician but that is a bit of a stretch) who was born a black man and died a white woman on June 25, 2009. Ever since then, people have been crawling out of the woodwork and lionizing him, whereas no one paid too much attention to him until he died (check out the number of questions on Y!A since June 25 versus the entire history of MJ questions on here).
Oh, although never convicted, there was also significant evidence that he might have been a pedophile. At the very least, he slept in his underwear in the same bed with young boys - that much is not in dispute by anyone.
QUESTION:
Those Who Hire Illegal Aliens Cause Americans 9,125 Deaths Annually?
Iowa’s United States Congressman Steve King told a crowd in Des Moines in June, “Illegal aliens cause the death of 25 American citizens every day…13 by drunken driving and 12 by stabbings or gun fire.”
That daily figure adds up to 9,125 deaths annually caused primarily by illegal alien Mexicans residing in America. Mike Rosen, radio talk show host in Denver, said it wasn’t significant when you consider our country of 300 million. A listener corrected him, “It’s not significant unless it’s your father or family member who gets killed.” In the meantime, 630,000 convicted illegal alien felons or a full 29 percent of our prisons are loaded with criminal illegals. They cost us .6 billion annually to keep them in three squares a day, exercise rooms, food and TV. What astounds me stems from the fact that our president, vice president and entire society sits, watches, waits and says nothing at this ongoing violence against our citizens and are doing nothing ?I see no saints here do you?
ANSWER:
To many people US citizens don't count or are expendable.Even some of our own people feel that way. Anything is better to them than to be seen as racist or indifferent to illegals' 'starving families'. And I realize we deal with our own criminals, but should that make it mandatory for us to deal with criminals who don't belong here? Nice question. Some people will never get it.
QUESTION:
Muslims pray "victory over those who disbelieve" In Iowa?
Imam offers prayer at Iowa Statehouse asking Allah for "victory over those who disbelieve"
And some of those in attendance were not sufficiently browbeaten by political correctness to fail to notice that that meant victory over them.
"Muslim opening prayer at Iowa Statehouse raises concerns," by Erin Ballou for the Storm Lake Pilot Tribune http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=19227412&BRD=1304&PAG=461&dept_id=180486&rfi=6
The Iowa Legislature started just over a week ago and some people were upset before the first issue was every addressed.
When the session began, a Muslim Imam began the prayer in the Iowa Legislature. This is where the controversy begins.
The prayer asked of "Victory over those who disbelieve," and "Protection from the great Satan" among other things.
[...]
Here is the text of the opening prayer, as transcribed by Radio Iowa:
Imam Muhammad Khan of the Islamic Center of Des Moines spoke first in Arabic.
"I seek refuge in God against the accursed Satan in the name of God, most gracious, most merciful," Khan said in English. Khan made no specific mention of the war in Iraq or foreign affairs, but he called God the "master of the day of judgment" and asked for "victory over those who disbelieve."...

Islam is incompatible with freedom and liberty. It is wrong to have an Imam pray for the destruction of Christian jews and everyone else who isnt a muslim and death to American way of life.
Western culture must begin to listen to what muslims are saying and apply that knowledge fearlessly to what the Quran says

Oh but you don't understand. We must embrace all people ( even if the ones that want to kill us) and respect all religions (even the ones that strap bombs on children) so that we can a diverse but inclusive society.
QUESTION:
Why do Americans put up with this?
Iowa's United States Congressman Steve King told a crowd in Des Moines in June, "Illegal aliens cause the death of 25 American citizens every day...13 by drunken driving and 12 by stabbings or gun fire."
That daily figure adds up to 9,125 deaths annually caused primarily by illegal alien Mexicans residing in America. Mike Rosen, radio talk show host in Denver, said it wasn’t significant when you consider our country of 300 million. A listener corrected him, “It’s not significant unless it’s your father or family member who gets killed.”
More sobering, almost eight times as many deaths of civilian Americans have occurred in our own country in three years than deaths to our soldiers in the Iraq and Afghanistan war zones.
It’s safer in a war zone than on our own highways and in our own homes.. South Koreans are safer in their own homes with 37,000 American troops guarding the North Korean border for the past 40 years (our troops and tax dollars) than we are in our own country!

Problem with it? Take it up with Congressman King.
Sergio--your sentence construction stinks, your rhetoric is shaky and unsupportable by current data, you lack any knowledge of punctuation, and your mother dresses you funny.
ANSWER:
And one more reason Americans are spittin' mad. Where is our President? Is it not his job to secure our borders and protect the citizens of our nation?
We need to scream at our elected officials, we need to remove those who do not listen. We need to demand deportation...it absolutely can be done...
We need to support our Border Patrol and deny drug runners any rights. Those illegals are not our citizens and do not have rights.
AMEN to what you shared.
QUESTION:
Have you heard or seen a politician do something stupid involving hunting or guns?
A few years ago a politician, who now has a radio show here in Iowa, felt it would be fun to canoe around central Iowa. He felt inconvenienced when he came to the fence surrounding the Army base north of Des Moines. Instead of going around, he snuck under the fence and ended up in the impact area for the M16s and M240s. He called the sheriff when the bullets started flying but was too embarrassed to reveal his location until gunfire increased. The sheriff eventually called the base and told them they had civilians in the impact area. The politician was escorted to the command office where he accused the commander of running an unsafe facility. The politician called newspaper and gave a completely different story, of course leaving out embarrassing details and it was all whitewashed except for us in the know. Any stories of politicians you know where they made butts of themselves hunting or with guns?
I forgave Dick Cheney. That was an accident. Anyone who has been dove hunting knows how they scatter and it hard not to get tunnel vision. His friend forgave him and he knows him even better than I do.
ANSWER:
The one incident that springs to mind is Diane Feinstein doing a speech where for some reason she had an AK to show everybody. While talking about how she's had firearms training and how dangerous these weapons are and how nobody without her level of training should even thinkof owning one, she repeatedly sweeps the muzzle over the entire press corps.
The AK had a mag fitted, the bolt was closed, and the safety was OFF.
The press was of course, too stupid to be terrified.
EDIT: browsing around after CTM's posted video, I found this one. Apparently, many people have been shot with an unloaded gun:

ANSWER:
Check local parks and close-by national parks or forests. They will often let you have a ceremony there for free. QUESTION:
Cheapest & best all inclusive trip to Cancun!?
Hi my name is Paul and I am looking to plan my first vacation for this coming summer. I am looking to go somewhere like Cancun or something like that. I want to go in late July or early August.
What I need help with is deciding where to go for the cheapest price. My ideal vacation is going to Cancun for 5 nights in an all inclusive hotel for under 1800 dollars for two people...So far I haven't found an option this cheap.
I will be departing from the Des Moines airport in Iowa, United States. Does anyone have any specific all inclusive hotels that are cheaper but still pretty nice in mind?
Also, it doesn't necessarily have to be Cancun, I just want an all inclusive hotel with white sands right next to it, you know? The hotel HAS to be all inclusive.
Anyone have any bright ideas on hotels or destinations? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
ANSWER:
HMMM... let's see here... First, have you tried to go to a "real" travel agency around your area? That is usually the best way to find some good deals. Travel agents are always getting updates and special offers and can usually find you something. If not I will give you a link to a travel site that usually has some good deals and you can search on there for something.
I just did a search for you (to get an idea) and came up with a few hotels. I don't know if this is the date you want but it's July 29-Aug.3... Again, I was just trying to get an estimate.
You can search around on the site and choose your own dates and maybe find something else, but I just wanted to give you an idea.
If you go to the second link and if you scroll down the page you will see that Hyatt Cancún is only 0/person. That is really cheap for that hotel and you will have white sand beaches and all-inclusive.
Cancún would be the cheapest for you to go to though if you want the white sand beaches. Good luck in finding your ideal vacation!!!

Cheapest & best all inclusive trip to St. Petersburg, Florida!?
I am looking to plan my first vacation for this coming summer. I am looking to go to St. Petersburg, Florida. I want to go in late July or early August.
What I need help with is deciding what hotel is ALL INCLUSIVE and a cheap price and is on the beach. My ideal vacation is going for 5 nights in an all inclusive hotel for two people...
I will be departing from the Des Moines airport in Iowa, United States. Does anyone have any specific all inclusive hotels that are cheaper but still pretty nice in mind?
Also it has to be all inclusive hotel on the beach or atleast in walking distance.. but very very close, you know? The hotel HAS to be all inclusive.
Anyone have any bright ideas on hotels or destinations? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
ANSWER:
There are a lot of hotels and motels near St. Pete on the beach in Reddington Beach, Madeira Beach and Treasure Island. You can look up ratings at www.tripadvisor.com You can save yourself a lot of money and rent directly from someone who owns a time share there instead of staying at a hotel. You can search at www.tug2.com, redweek.com and http://www.timeshareownerscommunity.com/ Timeshareowners will allow you to put an ad for free to let people know you are looking for a time share in that area. The owners will rent it to you for a lot less than a service. We did this when we went to Hawaii.
QUESTION:
20yo female going to London for 10 weeks to study abroad. Advice & info about London?
I need to know anything that will help me out. I'm a 20 year old female from Des Moines, Iowa. I'm leaving beginning of feb.
Main points:
What to wear?
What to pack?
What are the people like?
Are the transportation systems confusing? Tips for getting around.
How possible is it to go to Amsterdam & Ireland? Traveling there, costs? (USA money wise)
How expensive are things?
How do people treat Americans?
Weather like in feb-April?
How much money will I need for 10 weeks? With traveling, hotels, bars, souvenirs, food.
What are popular cheap stores for young women?
Places to visit, events?
As much information as you can give me is GREATLY appreciated. Anything I didn't list please add.
ANSWER:
first thing is to find out accommodation price - this will probably give you a shock. If you are a 20 year old student I don't think you can afford a hotel for 10 weeks. Look on hostelworld.com.
secondly, find out the exchange rate so you know what a pound is worth.
things are pricier than in the USA - we pay a lot more for fuel and transport costs.
Wear what you like and no-one cares if you are American provided that you know how to queue, say 'please' and 'thank you' and don't snap your fingers or tap a coin on a bar for service.
The cheapest way to go to places in Europe is usually by plane. Look up Easyjet or Ryanair, but 'full service' airlines often have good deals too.
there are enough places to visit in London alone to keep you occupied for years so go get a guidebook from the library. Cheap clothes come from Primark, Top Shop, New Look and so on but it seems a waste of time to be shopping when you have lots of things to see.
weather: changeable, not boiling hot, maybe a bit chilly, lots of rain.

Going to London for 10 weeks(from Iowa), need some questions answered.?
I need to know anything that will help me out. I'm a 20 year old female from Des Moines, Iowa. I'm leaving beginning of feb.

How much money will I need for 10 weeks? With traveling, hotels, bars, souvenirs, food.
What are popular cheap stores for young women?
Places to visit, events?
ANSWER:
I can answer some of your questions.
What to wear?...You don't have to worry about fashion. Every style is supported in London.
Weather like in feb-April? ...You will be there at the coldest, wettest time of the year. It may freeze at night but it rarely stays below zero all day. Bring a waterproof jacket and warm layers of clothing. A hat makes a big difference. You may find that the weather gets reasonably nice towards the end of April.
How possible is it to go to Amsterdam & Ireland?...Easy by plane or ferry.
How expensive are things?...You will find London expensive.
How do people treat Americans? Most of us like Americans. You should be fine.
How much money will I need for 10 weeks? With traveling, hotels, bars, souvenirs, food.....That is difficult to answer. It depends how extravagant you are. It won't be cheap.
What are the people like?...London is like New York. The friendships are a bit superficial. Londoners do not represent people from the rest of UK.
Tips for getting around?...There is a good choice of public transport. Buses and "The Tube" (subway). You can buy an Oyster Card to make it cheaper and more convenient.
If you are here for 10 weeks, I recommend that you see a bit more of UK than London. You will find it is very different, with a much slower pace of life and more friendly people. A Rover Ticket will take you all over the place by train.

aMost fathers believe the less complicated, the better. Guys aren't really interested in spending a lot of money on Father's Day in general so oftentimes, they choose activities that are outdoors and free,a noted Bishop.
Dads across the nation have shared their ideas for celebrating Father's Day:
Take in a minor league baseball game.
No need for clubs or a golf cart - go Miniature Golfing.
Fire up the grill and give dad the spatula - a cookout with all dad's favorite foods is just the thing.
Play Wiffle ball or get a backyard football game going.
Plan a picnic at the park or the beach. Be sure to bring baseball gloves and ball, Frisbee or football.
Take a family bike ride around the neighborhood or head for the nearest state park or trail.
Pack up the gear, some special snacks and go hiking.
Head for the nearest river or lake and go canoeing or boating. Or, watch the abig boatsa while you stroll the ocean waterfront and enjoy ice cream.
Going bananas? Check out the monkeys and other exhibits at your local zoo.
Have a pizza party - order in or gather together and make it from scratch. Follow it up with (age appropriate) games like charades, Monopoly, Go Fish, etc.
Take in a show. It could be the newest movie in the theaters or a concert or an auto, boat or monster truck show - whatever dad enjoys.
Bishop continued, aGifts are nice but simply spending time together as a family is what many dads want on Father's Day.a

QUESTION:
Does anybody know anything about bike trails...?
in Iowa? Is there a bike trail that goes from Omaha, NE to Des Moines? Or one that goes all the way across the middle of Iowa? Or one that goes from Omaha to anywhere near Fairfield, Iowa? I have been searching the bike trail maps on the internet but they are really confusing so if anybody has any answers they would be appreciated!

QUESTION:
Should I move to Des Moines, Iowa?
It would be for a company I have been with for over 5 years, so I'm too worried about the job market. My big concern is that there would be NOTHING to do there!
I like to stay active so I do a lot of hiking, rock climbing and ride the bike trails. I also like frisbee golf, outdoor concerts, street fairs (not carnivals!), just about anything outdoors.
I've done a bit of research so I have a general understanding of the climate and demographic. So, I am also wondering about the people. I won't know anyone there so I was wondering if the people are friendly. Also, would it be hard for someone in their mid- twenties to meet good people. I'm pretty low-key but not opposed to going out, I usually just offer to be the designated driver.
I hope this is enough info for someone who knows the area to give me some feedback. I'm pretty happy where I am now but I am still considering the offer. I know I have a lot of questions, any serious responses will be appreciated. Thanks!
ANSWER:
As a young person, I did not enjoy it there at all. As a business person, looking to raise a family, or to retire, I would highly reccomend it. It is booming in a Mid-western sort of way. If we trace the importance of gold back to the old times up to the present condition, it can be a symbol of status of a certain clan or family. Gold is a valuable mineral because of its contribution not only in fashion and jewelry industry but also in many areas like dentistry, currency, electronics, computer, medicine, aerospace and many more. Jewelers melt gold and add other minerals to form many things. Since gold signifies wealth, most people who had bigger portion are those that belong to the clan that belongs to a higher level in economic status.
If one has to study gold and its various uses, a person needs to search different topics like gold, uses of gold, gold buying, cash for gold Iowa, gold party Iowa, sell gold Iowa, we buy gold Iowa, gold buyers Iowa, gold party Des Moines, cash for gold Des Moines, we buy gold Des Moines, sell gold Des Moines, gold buyers Des Moines, importance of gold and much more gold related topics. Some topics like how to sell your gold, gold buying gold coin collections, carat weight, and gold bars are also relevant topics that will give us more information about the topic.
Karatage is the term used to measure the content of any gold item or gold piece. A certain piece can be tagged with 10K, 14K, 18K and 24 K for pure gold. The higher the karat is the larger amount of gold a certain piece has. Today, gold is not only used in making jewelry but also for various purposes. The most common uses of gold are for arts, fashion and jewelry. Most jewelers nowadays combine gold with other minerals such as copper, platinum and silver to form valuable items like dining sets, watches, wedding rings, medals and many more. This process needed detailed craftsmanship because some designs are extremely detailed and extremely tiny.
Gold deposits are plenty during the early times and those people who lived on that era use gold in commerce and trade. Gold is also turned into bullion or gold coins, and it is being used as a form of currency during the early times. As we continue to progress and have modern technologies that continue to develop, the value of gold continues to increase. Its value was discovered in so many fields of study. Since gold is an excellent conductor of electricity, it was discovered that it can be a reliable material in some equipments and gadgets like the television, GPS or Global Positioning System, cell phones, calculators and many equipments that need connection strips.
Aside from the above mentioned uses of gold, it is also used in dentistry nowadays. Dentists used them in making dental filling, crowns and bridges and other orthodontic appliances and equipments. Many dentists use gold because it is hypo-allergenic. Some doctors also use gold in treating cancer patients by implanting them on any affected tissue and is used as a radiation source. In medicine, some life support systems are made with some quantity of gold.
Gold is not only used as jewelry, as currency in commerce, in dentistry and electronics. It is also by the NASA or National Aeronautics and Space Administration. They use gold as a lubricant in creating parts of every space transportation system because of its ability to withstand heat and extreme pressure. Gold is expensive that is why many people convert them into unique items such as medals, King
More foreclose homes for sale in Seattle and in other neighborhoods in King County have become affordable to families earning the median family income of ,821 in the county.
According to Seattle Times, buyers earning the median income, as estimated by the Washington Office of Financial Management in 2008, can afford to buy foreclose homes for sale and other residential properties in six King County areas whose median prices range from 8,450 to 0,500.
During the boom in 2007, only homes in Auburn were affordable, when 6,750 was the median home price in the area. In 2005, families earning the median income could afford to make home purchases in 14 King County neighborhoods, including the Georgetown-Deldridge area in Seattle.
Todd Sinai, real estate associate professor at Wharton in Pennsylvania, said the unaffordable home price levels from 2006 to 2007 have gone down to where they should be. He expects home prices to become more affordable next year.
However, Sinai said the high unemployment rate and the still struggling economy are making the affordability factor useless. He questioned if there are significant numbers of people who can buy the affordable foreclose homes for sale and other affordable houses in light of job losses, pay cuts and lack of available credit.
Washington State's jobless rate in April reached 9.1 percent, with more than 317,890 jobless people looking for employment.
Most King County communities with the most affordable home prices are located in the southern suburbs of Seattle. Auburn is the most affordable, with many homes priced at 8,450. Prices have declined by almost 25 percent in Auburn since 2007, based on records from online brokerage Redfin.
In recent months, the number of foreclose homes for sale increased in the southern part of King County, pushing prices down further in the neighborhoods of North Burien, West Kent-Des Moines, Enumclaw, Pacific-Algona, and Twin Lakes.
Redfin real estate agent Loren Ellingson said her investment home has almost lost all its equity because of low-priced foreclosed homes for sale offered by banks and other foreclosure listings.
Rasema and Haris Svraka are among fortunate couples who were right on time in joining the housing market. They have bought a three-bedroom foreclosed house for 8,000 in Des Moines, a purchase they could not have made during the boom.
The Troncosos were also able to buy a unit from a bank's foreclose homes for sale in Auburn for 0,000, much less than the 0,000 original listing price of the house.

ANSWER:
Check local parks and close-by national parks or forests. They will often let you have a ceremony there for free. These locations usually have amazing scenery and make a really nice backdrop for your wedding. If these parks have reception spaces, they will be way cheaper than traditional wedding venues.

Also it has to be all inclusive hotel on the beach or atleast in walking distance.. but very very close, you know? The hotel HAS to be all inclusive.

What Are.....??? HELP!! ***WILL Pick Best Answer!***(:?
Okay, so I want to know if I could get accepted into my dream school/s (NYU foremost, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, etc.) for premed.
I'm in my junior year (home schooled, actually more self taught) anyway, by the time I graduate I would have taken 50-some classes/courses! (including Calculus, Physics, Organic and INorganic Chemistry among many others) 15-18 of which are AP's (got good scores), four college courses (Human Anatomy, a cadavers course, and a couple others). I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA. I haven't taken my SATs yet but I'm going to in a couple weeks.
I have numerous extra curriculars: cancer advocate (I'm the Team Captain), YFU volunteer, volunteering at a nursing home, tutoring center, and hospital, babysitting, peer tutor (German, math and science), play the piano, and play volleyball.
If you took this at face value do you think I could get into NYU?
Feel free to add anything!
Thanks! (:
I have also taken a Medical Terminology class at College of Eastern Utah and Des Moines University.
ANSWER:
You have an impressive resume that is sure to get you considered for NYU. I'm guessing you will be applying to NYU- CAS? So, please keep in mind that you not only have to take your SAT, but also two to three SAT IIs. Because of your intended area of study, your SAT IIs should include a math and science. Good luck!

A lot will depend on your SATs, but yes, I think you have a decent chance of getting in. There is never a guarantee for anyone, but you sound interesting enough that you might catch their attention, assuming the test scores indicate that you have the potential to do well.

ANSWER:
Wow. Honestly you sound like a great candidate, the homeschooling is really interesting. You should apply to a some Ivies, they really look for unique applicants. I think you're a shoe-in at NYU, and I would say so for Columbia and Johns Hopkins too, but they're mega-competitive so nothings guarenteed. But you're definitely a good candidate provided you get above a 2100 on yours SATs. With so much science experience, you might want to take the ACTs as well (they have a science section).
Guestimate your SAT score, and try plugging your stats into this "what are my chances" calculator. It gives you a pretty good idea of your likelihood of getting in.

Does anyone know how the "Obama is a Muslim" rumour started?

"DES MOINES, Iowa - Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign on Sunday requested the resignation of a second Iowa volunteer coordinator who forwarded a hoax e-mail saying Barack Obama is a Muslim possibly intent on destroying the United States.
Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ and says he has never been a Muslim, but false rumors attempting to tie him to Islamic jihadists are circulating on the Internet.
"Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential Candidacy," read the e-mail. "Please forward to everyone you know. The Muslims have said they Plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at The highest level.""
I've heard people say that this accusation was probably started by Republicans, but here's the truth in black and white. Ironic that the attack was done by members of his own liberal party!

This nonsense has been around for some time - I do not know how we could expect to trace it to its roots - but I think you will find this Hillary staffer just continued something already out there.
More interesting to note that when Hillary found out she took quick, decisive action. Pity the same cannot be said for Bush regarding Rove's low life push polling in 2000.
The same day that American billionaire and investor Kirk Kerkorian offered a bid of .5 billion for Chrysler Corp., is the time that a car salesman in Southold, New York was also dusting off a framed print.
Chrysler dealer Dick Mullen said last April 5 while smiling at an editorial cartoon from the 80s, aTime to hang this up again. It shows a car bursting from the ground beneath a gravestone marked ''Chrysler: R.I.P.''
Mullen's shop has stayed on Long Island's northeast corner for 80 years and has witness to the rise and fall of Chrysler through decades of miscues. Way back in the 80s the good old Mullen has loaned Chrysler some ,000 when it was nearing bankruptcy. And today Chrysler's future is again on the brink as its German parent DaimlerChrysler AG is opening all options for its sale. Despite the somewhat bleak future that Chrysler is facing today, Mullen remained calm and unafraid leavening the wait gallows humor.
According to Mullen, 70 when he told sales Chief Steve Landry at New York Auto Show last April 4, "It's the fourth time I'm going out of business with you guys, I'm getting a little tired of it." He also suggested for Chrysler to write a book based partly on his up-and-down ride and pass it out to future executives.
Landry said as a way of confirming his conversation with Mullen, "Most of our dealers have faith, and they know that whatever happens, our brands and products are not going anywhere." He also said that he plans of meeting with as many as 50dealers this year to answer questions and to mend relationships.
Surveying the business of Mullen and the rest of his fellow car dealers on Long Island, it's hard to miss the obvious fact that the Japanese carmakers influence has also reached Long Island.
The Union
Chrysler maker of Dodge truck parts and Dodge truck accessories has been a one of the 'Big Three' US automaker alongside General Motors Corp. and Ford Motor Co. way back in 1929. Unfortunately out of the 'Big Threea it's only GM that has successfully maintained its post.
The wrong decisions that have been plaguing Chrysler started back in 1970s when the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based automaker try to push gas guzzlers as oil buying habits were changing. Chairman Lee Iacocca was able to avoid bankruptcy when it acquired .5 billion government-guaranteed loans. After a revival behind the compact K-car and the minivan, the US automaker once again embarked in 1998 on a rocky billion union with Daimler, the maker of Mercedes-Benz.
The union only plunged Chrysler to graver financial crises that went on for more years than anyone can remember. Chrysler has obtained a .5 billion loss which prompted its German parent to investigate a sale. It was also then that Chrysler has surrendered the No.3 slot in the US market share to Toyota Motor Corp. Jeeps, Dodge trucks, and minivans have accounted for 70 percent of Chrysler's sales at the time when gasoline cost nearly a gallon in the US.
The Struggle of Chrysler Dealerships
Mullen for his long years of selling Chrysler products have weathered out very storm. He and his father each bought ,000 of Chrysler's debentures in 1980 that earns them 11 percent interest per year interest. It was also their Chrysler dealership that was the first to sell Jeep in the US after the company bought American Motors in 1987. Mullen has met Iacocca twice and later he was invited along a handful of dealers at a lunch at New York's Waldorf Astoria hotel.
The main purpose of Daimler for purchasing Chrysler is to gain mass-market American foothold. Unfortunately instead of the gain it is expecting it has found itself struggling because of price discounts and union retiree costs that add ,300 to the price of each car. And today with oil prices surging high some investors see the future of Chrysler as becoming bleaker than before.
According to Tim Gilbert, who helps manage billion in assets including DaimlerChrysler bonds at principal Global Investors in Des Moines, Iowa, "When the product cycle turned, the ugly really outweighed the good." He also said that he firm is adding more bonds of the Stuttgart Germany-based carmaker because it should be more stable if it sells Chrysler.
DaimlerChrysler shares on the New York Stock Exchange have jumped 25 percent to .69 since the company has announced last February 14 of its plans of getting rid of its money-losing arm Chrysler.
Overproduction is the Problem
Mullen says that Eaton was smart to sell when Chrysler was riding high. But he was less happy last year, when Chrysler's production outstripped demand. Mullen and the other dealers were left with unwanted vehicles. This has provided Mullen with the idea for his book which he has given the theme: 'Overproduction causes problems.'
Landry also said that he is aware that dealers were upset and that is why he's meeting with many of them this year. The most perplexing thing that Mullen found on the potential sale is that Chrysler cars have never been better. As a matter of fact the Crossfire sports car shares 40 percent of its parts with Mercedes including the engine. The Chrysler 300 on the other hand makes use of the same axles and transmission as the Mercedes E-Class sedan.
Chrysler is also narrowing the quality gap with Toyota just last year the average new Chrysler had 12 percent more problems than a typical Toyota basing on the results found by researcher J.D. Power & Associates in Westlake Village, California. But despite such that average is much better than the average industry gap of 15 percent and far better than the 22 percent that Chrysler incurred in 2000.

is gay sex more dangerous than smoking?
I don't think this story is made up?¿
The president of the Iowa Family Policy Center, a group that opposes marriage equality, released a statement that made gay sex appear to be a health menace.
“The Iowa Legislature outlawed smoking in an effort to improve health and reduce the medical costs that are often passed on to the state,” Chuck Hurley said, according to the Des Moines Register. “The secondhand impacts of certain homosexual acts are arguably more destructive, and potentially more costly to society than smoking. … Homosexual activity is certainly more dangerous for the individuals who engage in it than is smoking
Hurley cited a new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control that showed a higher number of gay and bisexual men have HIV and syphilis. The report made no mention of smoking.
Hurley believes Iowa’s passage of same-sex marriage will lead to higher HIV and syphilis rates in the state.
